Financial Advice in Times of Grief

Paul came to see us in 2016 after the death of his wife because the finances were in a confused state and he needed help. He is a busy head teacher now aged 47 and has two teenage sons who live at home. His mother and late father became clients in 1992 and his mother aged 76 has now been a client for 26 years. His brother and his wife have also been clients for many years, but Paul remained aloof and he now regrets not being in touch many years.

"You feel like a valued customer and human being, and not just another number or name on a spreadsheet"

Paul - Birmingham

It was very important to gain financial advice in such a challenging time after my wife passed away. I needed to ensure that, as a newly single parent, I had my finances sorted out and had also made provision for my children in case anything happened to me. As neither my wife or myself had made a will, Alan’s advice and guidance through this very difficult period was invaluable, especially dealing with the paperwork associated with this.

It was important that I found someone that I could trust and someone that had a long record of helping and supporting my family. It was important that it would be someone who would not judge the situation that I found myself in but would offer high quality balanced advice in order to help me sort my finances out. I chose Alan because of his long track record of helping my family and because of the quality of his work and the advice and support he had provided them. We had previously taken advice but then had decided to try and manage things ourselves, but this proved to be a mistake. I like and appreciate the friendly and open manner in which Alan and Interface go about their work – you feel like a valued customer and human being, and not just another number or name on a spreadsheet. I was surprised by Alan’s wide experience in dealing with the many layers of paperwork that needed to be completed and the life planning service that he offers.

I have been more than satisfied with Alan’s service and advice in the time that I have been dealing with him. I am much happier with my financial future and the plans that have been put in place to help secure this. Don’t put off planning for your financial future as you are never aware of what lies around the corner. I would unreservedly recommend Alan and Interface Financial Planning to friends and family. If you want a first rate service, with sound financial advice, wrapped up with excellent customer service and sprinkled with a myriad of additional services, then contact them yourselves and see what they can offer.
